I noticed a brand new LX parked in the parking garage at my office yesterday and was overcome with a confusing mix of pride and annoyance. And then today at a stoplight I pulled up next to another snow white EX...(but at least mine has tinted windows)
The new Optima is a great car and I obviously want people to realize that, but I also don't want to see one every couple of minutes on the road and I especially don't want my car lost in a sea of Optimas at my office.
Although I definitely enjoy seeing another '11 Optima pass me on the highway, I can't help but feel a little territorial when there's another one in such close proximity. One of the reasons I bought this car was that they're not seen very often on the road.
What do you guys think? Anyone else start feeling a little territorial in this situation? And do you think we'll see a day in the next couple of years where these Optimas are just as common as today's Camrys and Accords?
