Sunroof Question

Finally had a nice day today and opened my sunroof. Not sure if it's my car or the way it's designed but it doesn't really open all the way. Seems like the front glass panel could go back another 4" inches to be completely open.

Is that the way it's designed or do I need to have mine looked at ?

I was wondering the same thing...Seems like mine could open just a little farther as well....I also wondered if there is a way to make it tilt more while being open. The manual mentions something about it as if it will tilt more but I can't figure it out at all.

Mine does the same thing so I'm going to assume that's how it's designed. In my Tahoe (I know it's not even close to the same thing) when you open the sunroof, when it automatically stops you can push it again and it'll go like 2 more inches do I'm assuming there is some kind of logic here that I am yet to figure out.

Agreed. According to the manual on page 4-32 it says "WHEN SUNSHADE IS OPEN:If you push the sunroof control lever upward, the sunroof glass will tilt. To stop the sunroof movement at any point, pull or push the sunroof control lever momentarily".

Yea doesn't work for me!!! Not sure about anyone else. I also wish I could figure out how to keep that front wind deflector down. Mine is getting filled up with all kinds of nasty bugs.

same here, tilt is barely enough to squeeze your fingers through. As far as going all the way back, it's probably because the mechanism is set up that way, going up instead of inside. Roof is still huge enough. To add a side note, it's not very noisy, even if you drive on the HWY. That little strip of material makes the whole world of difference.
