Offset and tire size.

I have a 2013 Kia optima LX and am looking at getting new wheels and tires. But not sure what size will fit. Looking at (18 X 8) offset +40, and tire 235/55R18 need to know if this setup will work without rubbing and causing problems. The car is not lowered and has no suspension upgrades of changes.

What I'm saying is if you look at your present wheels/tires, you'll need 1" clearance all the way around so that the monster tires won't rub. If I were buying them brand new I'd certainly wouldn't get 235/55-18.

Wheels would be no problem, but those tires are huge. They would be @ 2" larger in diameter
than what you presently have on the LX, so to check for any rubbing, turn the wheels and make
certain you have 1" clearance all the way around the tire.

I am buying them brand new. So I can’t really check. That’s why I’m trying to figure out what will work.I had a set of 235/50R18 on it a year ago but I don’t know what offset the wheel was.
