Hello brothers and sisters, so this is my first post with the exception of intro.
I have several questions regarding the differences in the basics between the models. Does the LX have the same wire harness (from fuse box to tail lights) as the EX? Heated and cooled, power, leather seats were an option in LX but I do not have them. Also concerned about the wiring to center console. Does the LX have cutouts/available speaker space for all 10 speakers in the EX (Harmon Kardon)?
Thanks everyone/anyone!

As long as the EX and LX have the same tail lights, ie LED or Regular bulbs the wiring harness should be the same. LED blinkers require a relay. Could you be more specific to the center console wiring question. Do you mean does it have the wires there for say the wireless charger if you didnt select that as an option? I would have to say maybe. Cant say for certain but I cant see it being a completely different harness in those regards as it would make wiring for the cars a night mare. I would say its the same harness with extra wires. Just my opinion. I did not google any of these answers:p

Yes and no. It depends on the feature you are seeking to install. The general rule of thumb is if the item was an available "option" on a LX model, the wiring harness (or plug) exists. As for the speaker system, the cut outs are all there, but the different radio harness and amp are not and cannot be swapped; going aftermarket would be your best direction. Hope that helps.

First off, what year model are you referring? Below are some of the answer referencing the 2011-13, 14-15 models:

No.

Most likely not, if its the current Generation model (2016-18) maybe

For the rear deck that houses the sub woofer, yes. however the center dash speaker, you will need the dash trimmed that has the center cut out. I have an LX and there's no mounting point for the center dash speaker on mine, only the cut out for the rear 8" sub woofer

So I recently ie today just completely swapped the interior harness for my 2012 kia optima hybrid from the lx base model to the ex "the best model " so that I could get the upgraded radio external amp, heated and cooled seats. The whole 9. I am having a problem though.. after swapping the entire interior harness all the seats and interior panels and installing the radio and amp. I still have not been able to get sound from my car. I dug in a little more and swapped the PCM, BCM, and ACCB unit, which still did not fix my no sound issue. I was going to swap the interior fuse box but didn't since the part numbers matched and all the fuses seemed to be in the same location. Now the only thing I havw not changes out is the wiring harness behind the dash. Which I am able to do and if I do I will put the EX dash in it's place to be able to get the front sub woofer as well. Yes I have checked all the fuses associated with the sound system but to no avail... does anyone have any suggestions?? Also if anyone wanted to know why I did this my EX was crashed, I bought an LX that is perfect but the interior sucks so over the weekend I swapped everything that I needed and now im having the no sound. Any help would be very appreciated.
