I ran into an issue not to long ago with a clicking sound coming from the lower corner of the windshield, near the dashboard. Took me 3 visits to the dealer to get them to finally admit they heard the sound. Mostly only happened over bumps. I had to push them to do a ride along so I could show them exactly when it happened. Once I did the tech finally heard it. Took them another week to figure out what it was. Pulling apart my dash, and panels. It turned out to be a clip in the windshield went bad and was bouncing up and down tapping against the body and glass. Had to have windshield removed, clip replaced. That was just my experience, but it's something else to look into.

You really have to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. Try sitting in the passenger seat while someone else drives.

 

Please let us know what the cause of the clicking sound was. I have the exact same thing with my 12SX and you only hear it at slow speeds while going over small bumps that make the car shimmy from side to side. Does not happen when going over big bumps... just like yours.

Did you ever find out what it was? My 2015 Optima is doing the same thing. It makes a squeak noise when driving and when I'm stopped at a light/stop sign it makes a creak noise. When I'm in park I don't hear a thing. When I press on the right side of the hood, you can hear it squeak. I had someone put my car in drive & kept their foot on the break while i listened to the front, sure enough it was making the noise from the right side of the hood, but when the hood is open you don't hear it. It's driving me nuts!!!!
