It's not the ESC "off" light but the one that looks just like it. Doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally. Goes back off if I re-start the car. Time for a trip to the dealer.

Or are you using LED lights in the tail lights? If you have aftermarket LED's in the LX/EX tail lights that is the problem. I had it happen to me. Took the LED lights out and it stopped. It has to do with the cruise control. The way the cruise control turns off when you touch the brakes is through the tail light itself and the LED light fools it into not getting a signal
