I am a car guy and I definitely don't need to pay a dealership to do simple things like inspect my battery terminals, rotate my tires, check my fluid levels, inspect my cooling system/belts/brakes, change my cabin air filter, etc...Paying a KIA dealer or anyone to do these things for me for what dealerships or shops charge is insulting. What maintenance can be done and what must be sourced out? If sourced out, can i take my car anywhere i want and keep my receipt? Is it possible to purchase OEM Kia parts through a parts distributor, install them myself, document the mileage, and keep the receipts? Getting the warranty was a big part in buying my car and neither voiding my warranty or shelling out over $2000 for bs inspections/simple maintenance seems like a good option.

im sure that as long as you keep a log of when the maintenance was done, some even have check sheets in the manual, dont know if KIA does, never looked. but write down the mileage, date, and what you did. i dont think there should be a problem
