I’ve been curios for a while now what the difference between the optima EX and EXL (Luxery) is. I can’t find any info on forums or websites that list what’s different between the two models. When I purchase car parts from different websites once in a while I’ll see them ask if it’s just a EX or EXL.

If anybody knows please fill me In. I do notice on a lot of the optima Ex they don’t have the big screen with GPS on it so I was thinking maybe that’s the “luxery” version

There is no EX-L.
LX
EX
SX
SXL-Depending on options

My '11 EX with every option available, 2.0T engine, premium package and technology
package, it's still just a plain old EX.
That’s what I figured since I can’t find any info about it but just thought it was wierd that a lot of websites always ask if it’s an ex-l or ex Luxery. I’ve also seen optima EXs that are the same year but like I said I notice that some have the big navigation screen and others have no screen. I wonder why that is

Options. As I stated earlier, my EX has:
Premium package EX 2.0T Panoramic sunroof, four-way front-passenger seat, heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel.
Technology Package EX 2.0T with Premium Package adds the navigation system, rearview camera, Infinity premium audio.
But It's still an EX.

There was a EX (Luxury) in 2012 when I bought my Optima EX. The differences were the addition of memory seat/heated rear and cooled front, heated steering wheel, the premium sound system, 18" wheels and maybe a few other options only available in the SX that were not in the normal EX. Now I only know this to be true in Canada I have no Idea if this is true for other countries!
