Can someone help me? I took my 2015 Optima SXL for a brake job. They said my calipers were bad and needed to replace them. Then they said my right side was fine but needed to order the left caliper from Kia. Now they're saying they can't figure out how to fix the EPB and Auto Hold lights from turning on after replacing it. Car is driving fine, but the left caliper won't engage, just the right one. They told me to take it to Kia so they can read the codes. Not sure what to do now, Im not good with cars and I feel like something is off. Anyone know if this is a bigger problem or just a computer reset is needed? Anything I can do myself?

Thanks in advance.

Most modern cars brake jobs are a pain you need the factory obd tool to manage the abs relays. You can spoof it if you know what your doing but given it’s a Kia is going to bone you hard anyway.

Its not so much the ABS as the electronic parking brake which is also engaged by the EPB, which should be rettracred usind a scan tool or the alternative method Turbonut stated. If some lube monkey tries to force the rear caliper piston back in they will damage the EPB mechanism.
