My 2012 Kia Optima has the factory 17" x 6.5" aluminum wheels, I think.
They are fading pretty badly, and I would like to replace them soon.
I love the 18" factory 10 spoke wheels that came with the 2015 SX turbo, and I like the machined 18" 10 Y-spoke factory wheels that come with the 2019/2020 Kia Optima SX turbo.
Would the 18" x 7.5" factory 10 spoke wheels that come stock on a 2015 Kia Optima SX turbo work without modifications on my 2012 Kia Optima EX?
What about the 18" × 7" 10 Y-spoke machined wheels that come stock on the 2019 and 2020 Kia Optima SX turbo?
If they will fit, but with modifications, what kind of modifications would have to be made?
Thanks for your help.

Personally from a fitment from factory standpoint, the suspension is the same 2011-20015, so the 2015 18" wheels installed on your car, will extend 11mm (.43") and the inside will move in 15mm (.59"). With the 2016 suspension changes, the factory wheels came with a different offset and using them on the <2015, the wheel will extend 4.5mm (.18") and move inward 21.5mm (.85").
Having said that, you'd be the only person that would know the wheel placement is different than from the factory, so take your pick, and get the right size tires to set off the wheels.

Thanks for your reply.
So in other words the 18" wheels, using the correct size tires, from either the 2015 SX Turbo, or the 2019/2020 SX turbo should work fine with no modifications on my 2012 EX?

Would you happen to know the exact size of the tires on the later ones?
Thanks again for the useful info.

Thanks Turbonut.

By the way, do u have any idea what size tires went on the 2015 Optima SX turbo with the 18" 7.5" factory wheels?

Just bought these for my 2012 Kia. Bought them for $150! They are stock 2016 Kia Cadenza wheels. They fit great, and they’re still stocks.

One final question.
Will the Y-spoke 19" x 8" wheels off a Kia Stinger V6 work on a 2012 kia optima ex, or would modifications have to be made?

I do have some concerns about the size as it's stated the fronts are 19x8 40, but from what I see the fronts are 19x8 34. I only looked the 2019 specs, so maybe another year is different.

The Stinger 19" wheels come in 2 sizes 19x8 34 front, 19x8.5 46.5 rear, so personally, if they are 19x8 34, when on the Optima the wheel would move outward 29mm (@ 1 3/16").

Hey Turbonut, one thing that concerns me is my factory 17" wheels on my 2012 Optima EX have a 5 x 114.3mm bolt pattern and the 2015 turbo sx 18" wheels have a 5 x 115mm bolt pattern.
Is this something to be concerned with?
Thanks.

Not certain as to where you're getting that info, but it's incorrect as they all have 5x114.5

OEM Wheel Shop, and Carid, lists the replacement aluminum alloy wheels for the SX turbo as a 5 x 115mm bolt pattern
And the others wheels as 5 x 14.3mm a bolt pattern.

They look as they are both the same as the OEM part no. is the same
529102T570, however another site states 74706 Grey machined while 74701 is aluminum alloy.
