Hi all! A friend of ours recently purchased a 2012 Optima LX (for 7k with only 40k miles so seems like a steal to me) and he wanted to know if he could switch out his fobs (the two fobs) for the switchblade design fob that our car has? I couldn't give him an accurate answer so I decided to ask the forums. I think it would be possible to do. I completely understand why he wants to switch out the fobs because the separate fob and key for his 2012 are hideous...I see why most people decided to go for the push button cars. Just wondering if it's actually possible to do even though it seems like it should be able to be done.

Well good news for your friend, we have EXACTLY what he is looking for.

The part is actually an OEM part from Kia, but has been discontinued.

We have the last (2) in stock here, and after those are sold, the product is pretty much gone forever, since they are no longer making it.

You can find it on our site here: Hyundai/Mobis OEM Flip Key
