Went to this dealership which is 68 miles from my house to look at 3 Optima's that were listed on the Kia.com website and their own website as certified pre owned. After buying the CPO car and taking it home I called them up after a couple of days and asked them to send me CPO paperwork for my car since it was listed and sold as certified pre owned. Was then informed that the listing was wrong and they don't sell any cars that are certified pre owned even though it was listed on 4 different websites as CPO. So be very cautious if you decide to buy a car here. They will lie right to your face.

Wow that is unbelievable switch and bait tactics.

Have you already contacted Kia Corporate about this?

This is a huge deal as the vehicle would lose a ton of coverage not being a CPO vehicle from Kia.

I would imagine there would be a significant price difference as well, since CPO vehicles usually sell for more.

Ok good, they should be able to look into this further for you and get to the bottom of it.

Yes, I would attempt to get in touch with the GM/Owner of the dealer you bought the car from. You should be able to at least file a complaint with the General Manager of the dealer as well.

Ask to talk to a consumer affair district manager. The regular manager won’t do anything as they are prob the one that’s telling the dealer to do this. So make sure to talk to a consumer affair manager.
Does the consumer affair district manager work at the dealership ? I'm a little confused about what a consumer affair district manager is?

Wait for corporate to get back to you, as contact with the area rep would only come from corp.
Well I don't know if it was the email I sent to corporate or the email to the general manager but I just got a phone call from the finance manager ( the guy that lied right to my face) and he said that they have decided to certify my car so all I have to do is come in and sign the paperwork. It's amazing how pleasent he sounded unlike Saturday when he had an attitude.

A lot of aggravation, but glad it worked out. Read everything closely!
