So this happened twice so far this week. I start car wait a min then drive off. I noticed the tranny not shifting and number 1 was displayed on the dash as if I had activated semi auto mode but it was in full auto mode. Flipped the shifter to the left and then back to auto which took care of the issue. Today it did the same thing but with gear 2. Anyone experience this?

Any chance you accidentally tapped one of the paddle shifters on the steering wheel? Those will also cause the tranny to go into the pseudo manual mode and display the gear number, even if the stick shifter remains in auto position. After a bit of time the tranny mode will revert back to auto after you use the paddle shifter, so if you want the tranny to remain in pseudo manual mode, then you should move the stick shifter over.
