So I have a 2015 Optima LX and I've seen all over the internet about the clunking noise when turning (both the steering wheel and actually making turns) and how it's more than likely a steering coupler (the little rubber star-looking piece) issue. Unfortunately, all the auto parts stores and dealerships seem to only have the coupler part for 2011 thru 2014 models. And no one seems to be able to give me a definitive answer as to the coupler needed for the 2015 or whether or not the coupler for the 2011 -2014 models compatible with the 2015?

So I purchased the 2011/2014 coupler and was looking to do the change myself but I don't want to go through all the trouble of taking everything apart to find the part doesn't fit my 2015 model. So has any of you 2015 optima owners experience this issue, I would be so grateful for your input?

Dorman shows theirs fitting 14 and nothing for 15.
56315-2K000-FFF is the oem equivalent which replaces 56315-2H000-FFF according to kia/hyundai. try to weasel a part number from the dealer like you're going to buy it.

The steering column, or at least what Kia refers to as a steering column is actually the motor assembly, and the part number
reflects, w/o smart key is the same 2013-2015, and with smart key, 2014-2015,
Guess what I'm stating, is if it fits the 2014 it should fit the 2015.

I have a 2011 EX and my dealership fixed mine under a recall. They didn't charge me a dime and did it while I was having the oil changed. You might want to check with your local Kia dealership.

Ditto here. 2012 LX. Absolutely no charge. Driving changed dramatically for the better!

I had my son's 2011 fixed by Kia for no charge as it was part of a prior recall.....1/2 day....no charge...
