So, I'm at the car wash, almost to the end of the tunnel. The big air dryers come on, and I can see my windshield wipers flopping around due to the high air movement being generated.
"I'm so glad I folded my mirrors in, now they won't get damaged ", I thought to myself.
HA!
I notice wiggling in the corner of my eye. Just as I turn to look, I see my driver side mirror glass come loose and start vibrating wildly in the high car wash tunnel winds.
"No big deal", I thought. I'll just pop the glass back on and all will be well.
WRONG!
I have messed with the glass for almost an hour, and Googled endlessly for double that, trying to find out how the stupid glass goes back on.
So this morning I drove to the local Kia Stealer and the guy looks at the mirror for 4 seconds and says, "You need a new mirror", and then walks off.
All I want to know is whether or not my clips are broken, and what the thing is SUPPOSED to look like normally. Unless I'm a complete imbecile (which may be the case) I can't find a single thing online. I can't be the only one with this problem.
I have a 2013 Optima SXL.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
