Well I purchased mine over a month ago from David at K5optimastore, finally had the time to install it today.

Initial thoughts, its ok, I am a little afraid of it cracking at the welds because they are contaminated (cxracing welder sucks). But looking at the stock vs aftermarket one, the aftermarket is nice and beefy :)

I had some header wrap left over from a old downpipe and stole it and put it on here just to help keep the heat down.

My favorite part, of this install, VIDEO of the car with no downpipe attached :) (no CEL btw) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=533757496829&l=8510504603047743962

Install tips: BUY 2 extra exhaust studs and nuts. One of my studs backed out and stripped out from the turbo part of the housing. Not a BIG deal, but having a spare would have saved some time during install. the studs are M12 1.25 thread. You will also need 2 bolts, nuts and 4 washers to connect the downpipe to the midpipe (not included from CxRacing).

Now a important part from what I'm gathering on the forum, I have a 2011 Kia which is a "korean built kia" supposedly they are different exhaust flange angles than the 2012/13 models. I can't confirm or deny if it will fit those years but I know it fits my 2011 SX.

Some installed pics

VIDEO installed! (camera memory is full thats why it cuts off)

Testing, I can feel it in the seat thats for sure :) didn't really get to beat on it since its only a 2 mile drive from the shop to the house. But you can feel the turbo spool much faster now! now all she needs is a midpipe and a tune... ;)

Nice pics. Is the exhaust sound noticeably louder with just the downpipe?

not on my end? everything loads up right on my side..

FYI took the header wrap off cause it was a bitch to tighten the bolts down on the turbo side. Also side note the gaskets included are WRONG they are way to restrictive, use the OEM gaskets (fit better but not perfect).

I fixed my exhaust leak and now its running 100% and I can feel it pull better after 70mph. Fuel economy went down in the city to 26mpg and highway is quickly 30mpg and stays there easily even with all the hills we have in PA.

I'm honestly probably going to sell this though. Just because I want to try another setup
