Hello. I'm 6 months and 5k miles into a 2021 K5 and have notice multiple small orange spots appearing on the rear/vertical portion of the rear trunk lid. Anyone else seeing this? Will bring to dealer to review, seems hard to believe it could be rust, but I can't explain it otherwise.

Orange on TOP of paint is caused by "Rail Dust"

Contamination (like brake dust) that adheres to the paint and rusts. A product like IronX followed by clay bar can remove it.

I've had those "orange spots" on all of my cars for decades! I believe it is caused by some environmental condition. It shows up easier on light-colored vehicles. I don't think it's specific to Kia. A car wax will get rid of them with "some elbow grease".
