Are you saying the button to retract the mirrors is currently depressed and stuck in that position?
No, I'm saying the mirror itself gets stuck when retracting. The passenger side works fine but the drivers side mirror gets stuck very often. It starts too close then just stops. I'm wondering what the issue could be. Would changing the whole mirror itself be the only solution ?

We have seen this many times in the past.

Unfortunately it does require replacing the mirror.

Find out what the cost is, as we might be able to get you a better deal.
