Back in 2018, I purchased a used 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid SE. It was bad on my part for not checking sooner but the key fob's removable key does not have a proper "etched in" key so it's just flat on both sides. I've already replaced the battery, in the fob, thinking that may have been the issue but it doesn't seem to be the case. After countless hours of research on ways to open it without the key (possibly a little hole that I could stick the key in to remove parts, for entry.), I've had no luck. maybe there's something I'm missing or maybe one of you may know the trick?

Is there any way of popping the hood open without a key or even a way to open the door without the fob/removable key? or will I just have to take it to a shop, in hopes that they can repair it their way?

I'm hoping to find an option that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Flat Removable Key (L/R)

Thank you for your time!
