Hey all.
I wanted to post this up before I lose track of my day at the office. too, I figured maybe a positive thread may help brighten up this dark section of the forums.
Anyway, to point.
I'm relatively new here, but have followed threads lurking and learning throughout OptimaForums.com, hoping to influence my next purchase. While there has been a lot of info to plunder, I am still undecided at the moment. Not a biggie, I mostly just wanted to put that out for context of where I'm coming from.
I have no issue traveling for a purchase, so my search has been wide. Mostly, I contact dealers via email so that I can have my conversations in writing to reference, and to help me organize what dealerships I've connected with, if any.
While I can totally understand the potential flood of spam upon those unfortunate enough to be placed on the receiving end of customers like me fishing for one bit of information or another, I have met most of my email replies to just be template-based automated messages that for the most part have nothing to do with my initial question(s). I have been disappointed for the most part, as most of my business is usually done online. Perhaps my expectations are out of line?
With all of THAT out of the way, for anyone in the Houston, TX area or for those willing to drive a bit,
I would like to recommend Ben Waxman over at Gay Family Kia located in Dickinson, TX. Though the car I had my eye is no longer available, he has been nothing but helpful, thorough, and very quick to reply. In my opinion, he has been as straight up with me as I could ask a dealership rep to be and has made every attempt to help me find what it is that I am looking for. Mostly though, I appreciate the kindness and just simply answering my questions directly---as annoying as I may be---without the sidestepping that has been the standard of most of my previous experience
While I may still be undecided on my own purchase, I can't help but throw his name out to the giant network of plastic tube interwebz on the off-chance that someone else out there, like me, has been frustrated at the endless ocean of robo-mail and calls with 98% of the dearlerships out there. Send him a line or give him a call. He's one of the good guys.
If I could drink at the work place, I'd offer a beer. Hey, maybe I'm over-doing it but really. Those empty replies are horrible and could drive a man to drink!! haha.
Thanks, Ben, for all the help. All the best.
- Noel.
