Let me start off by saying, all my previous service visits to Penney Kia have been good, but not this time. In the end they did offer me a free next oil change but check out my recent service visit ordeal at:

Also, I'm not sure if anyone else on here lives in a cold climate, but the road salt is wreaking havoc with my aluminium sill plates!

I read the blog post and I've had similar experiences with long waits at my dealer. When my XM radio stopped receiving a signal I waited there like 3 hours+ while they tried to figure out what was wrong. They had to remove/replace the radio unit and drop the headliner to investigate. I ended up calling a family member and got a ride home. In the end they had to order a part, keep the car overnight, and it was ready by late afternoon the following day. Thankfully I can work remote and had some flexibility with the scheduling.

Sorry to hear about your experience!

From now on with these type of issues, I have a ride on stand by in case the service visit goes really long.
