Hi,

I've just got a new timing chain on my car but the mechanic says I should get rid of the car incase of other problems. I really like the car would hate to let it go. Should I take the risk of keeping the car or get rid after timing chain change?

Could you share more information on your car and engine?

Year, model, and engine type. Also how many miles.

Probably a timing belt, chain driven are not replaced regularly.

The 1.7 seems to have good reviews. I'd ask specifics of your mechanic, Exactly why does he suggest getting rid of it? Here is a decent review of an '11:
