Hi All! I'm Isaac and I recently bought a 2015 sx turbo in Los Angeles, CA. Joined the forums to find some easy/cheap light and appearance mods. Also interested in adding car play with aftermarket stereo and retaining back up camera/steering wheel controls.

Has anyone installed a cheaper (<$500) stereo with these features? Custom made options from eBay/AliExpress?

Do you have Infinity stereo with nav? If so, you can get car play as a free software update.

Strange, I thought SX in 2015 came pretty loaded, including a nav system. So then if you don't have the 8" screen, but still have the back up cam, you have the 4" color screen?

I've installed a "cheap" android stereo on 2015 Kia Soul, which is probably similar to the Optima they sell, only different fascia. It was pretty much plug and play, works fine, has google store so that you can install any app, but no actual Car Play. No built in XM, but you can stream from your phone. Wheel controls work and can be custom set, camera may need a small mod, but will work. Make sure you find the one with more RAM and newer Android OS.

Not sure how different a 2015 is from a 2011 but I put a Pioneer head unit in mine with a backup camera. Total cost for those was right around $500. I also replaced the speakers and added a sub/amp.
