I would guess it would be the crappy chinese moog parts making the noise.

I don't think it is. I did the first set of struts a week before I did the control arms and sway bar links. That's why I contacted Rockauto for a warranty replacement strut.



What brand for suspension do you use?

i replaced all front steering/suspension parts with original equipment at around 100k as everything was worn. new struts can make kind of squeaky noise while working like brand new but i'm not sure what kinda noise you're hearing.

Speed bumps are fine, it's only right turns like the video shows. It's driving me nuts. I didn't have this with my last Optima. That one was one of the Korean made ones. The only quick struts that would fit that one were trq brand. No squeaks, but they wouldn't last anywhere near 100k. I'm just really surprised as it seems many people have used KYB quick struts here with no issues. Even my mechanic when I talked to him today said he's surprised as that's one of the best strut brands.

Like everyone else, KYB is sourcing overseas. The complete struts are coming from Taiwan I believe which with my long experience with parts is way better than China parts. Trying to save money on parts doesn't last and I don't want to do jobs over and over so I try to stick with original. I do have a KYB complete strut that I have to install as the other side was just replaced in a hit and run but now I at least know what to expect with it.
