I plan on doing this with the 5050smd strips I ordered for the trunk which I wont need since I got the exLED kit installed which had a trunk led & lights the trunk up plenty...

Holy crap, now that is a lit engine compartment, lol...

It would be cool to light it up that much with a changeable RGB LEDs and a controller, like a member did with their mood lighting, if you were into that kinda thing for car shows, etc...
yes that would be awesome for car shows or people that like that type of lighting on their cars. Personally I am more into function than pure looks, hence using white light and surrounding the engine bay so I can clearly see everything. The thought came to me changing my intake where I couldn't see the back turbo bolts holding a flashlight. I sure can now!!!

I took Jasper's idea and made it my own. Thanks for the inspiration. Once the under hood lights were installed I basically added lights to the sides of the frame and under the entire upper lip at the end of the engine bay. It illuminates the entire engine bay and I absolutely love it. Thanks again Jasper for the original idea and package you mailed me 馃槂

I agree with u 100%... In my older age I just wanna be able to see what im doing... Now if I was back in my late teens with the neons under the car was the cool thing that would be a different story... In fact there were not many if any at all LED vehicle lighting back then that i remember...

I'm with ya. Knock on wood. Think of how helpful it will be IF you ever have engine trouble at night. You can see exactly where the leak is or where the bolt is missing, etc. knock on wood again.
