I notice yesterday morning that my car was saying 99.9L of fuel per 100kms. I assumed it was just off because it’s been very cold the last couple of days and I haven’t been driving it much recently. This morning after letting it warm up for 10 minutes this little light came on. Is this the knock sensor light or the check engine light? On the gas cap the little icon actually says CHECK in the engine icon so I’m not sure if they’re 2 different things or not.
This is the car is the first vehicle I’ve ever owned, it’s a 2016 optima EX. I’ve had this vehicle for 20 days and I’m not sure what to do other than to take it into the dealer but I’m hoping it’s something minimal like the weather that’s causing the light or a loose gas cap.

That check engine light could be lit because of a number of problems, so best to take
it to a local parts store, if one available and have the code read, then we'll know what
system is the problem.

Do I have to get it towed there or can I drive it?
