I have a 2014 Optima. My key fob will not lock/unlock doors and nor will it open the trunk. I have to hold it to the push start button to start the car. I've bought a double pack of batteries CR2032 and tried them both. Same thing. While driving, I'll get a reading saying "Key is not in vehicle". Please, can someone tell me what it is that I must do.

Tried both key fobs?
If you have a multimeter I'd check the battery voltage to make certain 3V.

Sorry to hear about the remote not working after changing the batteries and determining that was not the issue.

Ultimately, if you end up not being able to fix the remote, and need to get a new one, we can help you with that.

We carry them brand new for a fraction of the price that your local dealership will charge you.

You can find them on our website here: 2011-2015 Kia Optima OEM Smart Keyfob Remote - K5 Optima Store

Let us know if you have any questions before ordering.
