So I just bought a 2015 SX trubo a week ago and I loving it, I had no idea how nice Kias could be. I am looking at a K&N 69 Series Typhoon, the K&N web site does not list it as compatible but K5Optima store does. Has anyone with a 2015 installed it?

Its compatible. The 14 & 15 models are the same.

Congrats on picking up your 2015 SX turbo model.

We definitely would not list it compatible on our website if it wasn’t.

The 2011 to 2015 engines are exactly the same on the Optima, no difference.

I know it's marketed that way on the HKS site you linked, but it is not "illegal" to run the HKS BOV without that.

I have to be honest with you, I have never even heard of this before, and this is definitely NOT necessary to have when installing this on your Optima.

We have sold around 150 HKS BOV kits for the Optima/Sonata platform since 2012, and have never had a single issue.

It looks like the kit is only made for vehicle specific applications as shown in the link below, none of which are for Kia or Hyundai that I see.
