Hey guys iv been on kiatechinfo for hours looking for a wiring diagram of my 2012 sx door and dash speakers to assist me with my door speaker dash speaker install this coming weekend i can't find a single schematic or diagram of it anywhere on that site. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction please?

Bel4_20,

I had similar issues with dealing with the dash speakers and replacement etc. I took a different approach and removed the dash speakers completely. Then I mounted the component tweeters like this;

Doing this saved me a huge headache and was far easier and looks alot better. Sound clarity is amazing with these mounted like this as opposed to the dash. In my car the pre-existing wiring for the in-dash speaker was too short to work with unless you want to tear that entire piece out... (ill-advised) and if your planning on replacing the door speakers AND the in-dash speakers too, going component is the cheaper of the two, depending on which brand ya go with. The front half of the car is essentially your "sound stage". I keep all bass away from the front and keep it behind me. Ive was a professional installer for a long time. Now I just do it for fun, I have torn my optima apart more than once changing out audio system components etc. any questions please ask. I have read the other options posted on the site and they are great and will certainly work without a doubt, my way is other side of the same coin... and this way there is no extensions need to be put in or soldering etc. Just a dremel to cut through the plastic and a few zip-ties

Thanks for the offer. I am in the process of disconnecting the front dash Harmon Kardon paper speakers and installing Morel components and realize I'll need to run my wires through the door. I was hoping to tap into the existing factory wiring since my battery and factory amplifier are all in the trunk with a Hybrid but I cannot find any wiring diagrams for the speaker wires so I can use an LOC (LC7i) to connect to the amps. I recently visited a local pro car audio shop where a guy almost got fired for showing me the website they use to access all the pictures and instructions for this type of wiring on all cars. Any ideas or sites you recommend? Thank you again.

Well yesterday i went ahead and replaced all 4 door speakers and swapped out that POS LOC the stereo shop installed with the audio control. Let me start by saying that i read a post on here longtime ago before i started buying speakers and 1 person said that if you install a 3 way up front the tweeters on that speaker will not work and everyone who followed up on that post said he was nuts.. well guess what he was right the fronts seem to me crossed over at the amp(?) either way the tweeters do not work in the front doors, however the full speaker works in the rear doors. I also purchased jbl's 3.5" to replace the dash speakers well that was a total bust as the dash speakers on a infinity system with the 8" are wired with 4 wires 2 for highs and 2 for the cone my 3.5's only had 2 terminals which if i tried would load the amp to 2 or 1 ohm not worth it so i left the factories in there.Im still wondering why there isnt alot of speaker swapped with the infinity system. Not to mention i could not find a single wiring diagram of the speaker set up anywhere. We just used the voltmeter to determine what was + or -. Everything sounds great now I can not say enough about the audiocontrol Lc2i what a difference my 12" fusion now pounds hard, hard so i have to keep the gain almost all the way down. over all it was a good day if anyone has any more info to add to this please do so.
