I have a 2011 optima LX. Is there any way I could swap the head unit for a factory SX head unit or do I need to buy aftermarket head unit?

You're better off with the aftermarket unit.

Welcome to the Optima community @Ldestefano

For your 2011 Optima LX, it is nearly impossible to swap in a Nav unit from an SX.

As mentioned above, it would be better to go aftermarket to achieve the same thing.

The kit we sell is expensive, but is an OEM Integrated Navigation System.

This means you don't lose any of the factory OEM steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, etc.

If you are interested, we can offer you 15%-20% off of the retail pricing shown on our site.

I swapped out my head unit for an Alpine ilx-w650, and I couldn't be happier. Android Auto/Apple Car Play. Better than a stock Nav unit IMHO. At least this way I always have the latest maps through my phone.
