It has been a long time since I've posted in my showroom and not much has been done physically to my Optima due to an extensive honey-do list (thanks to an older home) and work. But this lull has given me a great opportunity to do a lot of research and planning on specific modifications which in turn has given me a clearer vision of what I want. Plus it has given me time to save and do things right and truly set a realistic goal, Winterfest, December 7th, 2019.

So for some update:

Manual management huh? Everyone runs deals on tanks and struts and stuff. shop around.
Jason I thought about your advise and did some research. I was going to do a quick and cheap route for a instant gratification and honestly didn't think of the headaches that would come from "simplicity". With other cars I have built or have helped build, I always took my time and sourced out the right parts. Lapse in judgement on my part but I feel like I'm back on track:

I have a new other odds and ins that I need decide on with regards to the set up.

Part of my research for what I want led me to ECU re-flash tune from LAP3 and then in turn the decision of meth injection. Found a lot of great sources on here in which I saved a lot of notes on and pulled the trigger on the actual kit and the purchase of the tune from LAP3 and the 2.5 tune for the meth injection.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to install either the tune or meth injection yet, due to being sick and unpredictable work schedule but hoping to get this done this weekend or next.

I also have made some "splurge" purchases in which I'm excited about just because of the functionality and possibilities if I go down an audio overhaul.

I've made a few other purchases but they have not arrived yet but will be here soon

That is awesome buddy! I need to update my showroom as well. Congrats on the tune. And the meth kit. And the new suspension; you did well there! Like you I have a new tune, meth kit and suspension as well but haven't had time to install it yet. Hope to get it done over the next month or two. Tons of house and yard work for me as well. Enjoy and post when you get something accomplished (I will too!)

Thanks! You have helped a lot recently in getting me some needed supporting cast (Plugs, catch can, exhaust). I have not forgot about the red ring for the catch can. I will have that back to you soon. Thanks again for being so flexible!

Thanks man! It is super annoying that it's all sitting there but it's my own fault but like you mentioned priorities. Happy wife= happy life which equals a less upset wife when new parts arrive

Should be having some additional updates soon in regards to parts hoarding and finally some install.

BBK arrived just the fronts at the moment though. I have also obtain some R1 slotted rotors for the rear and pads. This was more of an impulse buy and kind of happy I did it just for the "wow" factor.

Some additional items have arrived for the air ride:

Another impulse buy but I couldn't pass up the price and the fun I imagine I will have with them...

Not sure how or where I will mount the horns at the moment but I hope I can make them work.

Feeling on the up and up after this cold so hopefully will be doing some wiring this weekend and install the LAP3 tune.

Sorry not many updates at the moment, life has gotten in the way of fun so my circumstances have been limited. So I've been working on some interior pieces and the goal is to make each piece I touch to look as factory as possible. I've been working on my gauge pod its very very very ugly at the moment. Because of the different seating positions that my wife and I have (not that she drives my car often) I had to do a lot of trimming to have the universal pod and the OEM pillar meet up. In looking back there is a some things I would have done differently and probably would have made life a little easier but I'm already this far. Sanding will continue tonight and I have a plan to create the textured look of the OEM pillar.

I've also started working on the center console. I got a spare console that had the UVO connections and removed them along with the buttons for the heated seats so I could lightly sand the console to create a little grit. Then made a template for what will replace the UVO system.

More to come, hopefully more steady.

Installed the KSport BBK this past weekend and they look amazing! Couldn't resist mounting the new wheels to see what they looked like with the new BBK setup. I would say the biggest and most annoying thing about the install was the most simplest thing... the spacers.

I ordered a set of 15mm spacers per my research on the forums but the company I ordered them from sent the wrong stud thread and center hub size. So my brother and I had to modify the center bore slightly to get them to fit until the replacement ones arrive.
