I've had my KIA about 9 months or so. I've heard of potential engine issues with the 2013 Turbo. Well something went very wrong with mine and I guess it hadn't before so at 90k miles on the body I'm receiving a brand new engine at no cost from KIA. Is this a 1 time only deal? I assume it is... Did they fix the known issue with the motor so I should be worry free moving forward?

Ouch sorry to hear about this.

From what I understand, the recall fixes the issue they were having with the engines.

Only time will tell though.

I agree with above, time will tell, but there have been times the replacement engin disinegrated and replaced under the warranty.

Is there a recommended "break in" mileage for the new engine before I get on it?
