Back Order on ECM for 2012 Kia Optima

Help! I have a 2012 Kia Optima that has to get a new ECM. History, 2 years ago the engine locked on the vehicle and had to have it replaced. Glad KIA paid for the engine replacement and my rental car. However in less than 6 months the car stopped working. Took back to KIA and found out that the wire harness connections to the ECM were so crusted with corrision that I had to have it replaced. KIA would not cover the cost to the ECM or put in new wire harness. So I had to pay for it. After a short period the wire harness had the same problem. It had corroded the connections to the ECM this time so bad it broke the pins to the ECM rendering it useless. Here now is the problem. I have been told I can't get a new ECM for KIA because they have been on backorder. I went to the dealership and paid for a new one and was told it was only going to take 14 days. This was back in February. As of today I don't have a part. I have looked into aftermarket parts but was told they can't be programmed to my car??? What can I do?? I have been without a vehicle for over 3 months. Can someone help?

there should be an oem number right on the unit. search that number on the internet and make sure it has that number on it and kia logos.

Does the Vin number have a way to identify all the specs on the vehicle? I'm looking for all the known modules that are programmed on the ECM.
Really out of may area of expertise, but I would think that the ECM would be identical as long as it's for the same vehicle, e.g. US, LX, A/T, CA or Federal.
Also check and match the number.
