Hello guys,

I have an issue with my 2013 Kia Optima EX GDI engine, where I was driving it one day, no issue, no lights on the dash and everything was fine. I came back to the car and started to drive it and then noticed the ABS light along with the traction light on the dash. The cars ABS system is not working, the reason why I know is that it is currently snowing and when I go to hard brake, the ABS does not kick in and the car is not gaining any traction.

I looked online and found the Wheel speed sensor that can be a problem but I don't know for sure if anyone has had that problem I would love to hear.

Also, not too long ago I changed the brake pads and did a full brake bleeding, in the process, I lost the cap to cover the brake fluid input on under the hood? This happened a while ago, can that be the issue?

I'd say you'd need to do a scan to see where/what the problem might be as a problem within the ABS system will also trigger the traction control light.
