The looks can work on this redesign. However, with today's market, they would need to give it a lift like the Outback, V60/90 Cross Country or the Audi A6 Allroad or VW Golf Alltrack Some folks don't want a CUV/SUV and a lifted wagon works better. Having a hybrid or plug-in hybrid system in it would work too.
I would buy one. I've always have loved wagons. First wagon I had was a 55 Bel Air 2 door Nomad.
Then a good 63 Ford Country Squire. Which was the wagon version of the Galaxy 500. Awesome wagons.
Then a 73 Plymouth Custom Suburban. Which was wagon version of the. Plymouth Gran Fury.
That might go to the European market, I forgot they have the Optima wagon there and I believe it also come with a plug-in hybrid. They should put the 2.5T with AWD and a plug-in hybrid powertrain in it, tune it to be like the GT, and we can have a nice sporty hybrid wagon, like Porsche does.
