I have these installed and they're honestly one of my favorite mods on my car. I love seeing the sequential feature whenever I unlock the car and I've seen people in my rear view take notice of them. They drastically improve the look of my car at night and actually make it safer (more brake lights/ turning lights to grab attention from people behind me).

Thanks for the pic and video Mike, they really do look freaking sweet!! That's pretty awesome that when you unlock the doors they blink sequentially. 👍

I agree. I think this is one of the coolest mods for the 2016 Kia Optima at this time.

Looks like the video is no longer working. Any chance of updating it Mike?

Thank you all so very much for your orders placed for these on our site.

Now that we have sold quite a few, I’m hoping to see some more videos.

If you bought these and had them installed, please share a video of them in action!!

Why forbidden? Is it due to warranty? David or Paul, are there no sequential LED's for the 2011-13's?

Thank you, we think so too! No way, that sucks!

There are, just not listed on our site yet. Email me to [email protected] and I can get you out a set. ;)

Almost every change on the lighting system is forbidden in germany
Wow that sucks big time!

A change in the lights / system is a change in the "security" ... e.g. if I'd install these rear squencial lights and I am involved in a traffic accident and they check out the vehicle after recovery. When they find out there was a change in the electrical system I will automatically lose my incurance on my car and will be pledged guilty. If the lights have no "e" sign - the conformity of the European Union - then they will not be allowed - full stop. :spank:Other than that, your signal lights are red - ours are to be orange - so an installation of these sequential lights (especially down in the lower part of the bumber) will automatically make it illegal. You'll be fined and the car will be confiscated by the police

I wasn't aware that the traffic laws were so strict in Germany, that stinks

The hubby wanted me to ask if there was a how-to video so he can see if he wanted to take on the task of installing them.

I have no clue on how to make a video and post it on-line. We can do pictures and "paint" adds. That good enough?

No how to video unfortunately. However, yes that would be fine. All you would need to do is take lots of pictures, each step of the way.

Something showing how the bumper is removed, how the original stock reflectors are removed, and which wires are being tapped into on the vehicle.

Here are some examples of the DIY's we use on our site, but keep in mind we can make the template, we just need the pics and info on the DIY:

Not so difficult!

SOME GOOD NEWS fellow "Opti-nuts"!:D

You DO NOT have to take the rear bumper cover off to remove the lower cover that holds these lights!!!

All you have to do is remove 3 plastic retainers from the bottom, remove 2 screws from each side, then work the 2 lower tabs loose on each side (these are the largest tabs on the lower cover), and then carefully pull out the 8 smaller tabs along the top of the lower cover (pictures to follow as we take them...). LX and EX models will also have to remove 2 plastic retainers from the bottom cover on the left side - SX and SXL models do not have this cover -- they have a muffler instead...

Once you remove the lower cover you can take out the reflectors and replace them with the repeaters.

Install is easy...just reinstall the 8 tabs along the top, reinstall the 2 tabs on each side, put the 2 screws in on each side, and then reinstall the 3 plastic retainers on the bottom.

Wiring the lights is another subject...
