Hello Everybody,

I'm a new member living in the SFV, near Los Angeles and recently purchased the above 2014 Optima LX Hybrid.

Can somebody please spell out the specified replacement 12 volt battery for me? Can't see it listed in the Owner's Manual. Any idea about the cost of a replacement?

The 12 volt battery is a calcium battery, not lead, from the dealer $500 discount @ $350, but others have replaced them with aftermarket batteries but size and venting critical.

I’m not sure on the 12 V battery cost for the 14 hybrid model.

Hopefully, you can find it cheaper than what the dealer is asking for.
