Hello Everyone,

So after a long drive on the freeway I parked at a store and noticed my shark fin antenna cover was completely missing. I read some old posts that say others have had this happen as well.
Anyone ever get this replaced at the dealership? My car has 30k miles. I'm also wondering if there are any service bulletins or something?

Someone posted this about sontana owners having similar issues but I couldent find anything online when I went to research further:
"On certain Sonata (LF) vehicles the “Shark Fin” antenna mounting bosses may be
weakened and the cover may become loose if external force is applied.
This bulletin provides the procedure to inspect and if necessary replace the “Shark Fin” antenna to
correct the condition."

Bulletin 16-01-051-1.

Any advice or tips? Thanks!

If you're not able to find a service bulletin of it online, you could go to the dealer directly, and most are more than happy to look it up for you.

My daughters '14 LX mounting bosses on the shark fin itself had completely disintegrated. I noticed it sitting askew on the roof location. The local dealership, Aloha Kia, had it replaced under warranty after investigating and not finding any exterior damage to the fin.
