Just a few quick pics of my newly installed front mount intercooler. Have had comments on it already. Not sure if I'll keep the plastic grill off or put it back on. Next mod up is installing a sixth element carbon fiber intake.

You can't post just pics (though it looks cool), gotta give us more info like brand, cost and what improvement it achieves, thanks....

The intercooler is from cx racing. The 2.5inch piping kit is from eBay, I wanted to go with black piping and red couplers which worked out nicely as it came as a package. I also had to order 2x 2.25" pipes to join the new size to the stock set up these came from the same eBay shop. Finally there was 2x 2.5" to 2.25" reducer couplers from Mishimoto. All in all it cost around $500-600 usd. Kits from cx racing or from ksr performance run à bit more expensive and both don't do the pass through style.

I haven't had a good chance to really test it, but the main thing I was worried about was potentially losing boost. I run a jb4, and with the app I can see what I'm running. I managed to hit 21lbs of boost with the new intercooler which is right in line with the stock one. The new intercooler definitely creates more turbo noise which is a side affect I wasn't expecting but is cool. The plan is to eventually track the car.

I based the intercooler off of Nikko's build HERE
