My Kia Optima engine caught fire yesterday and a friend told me that there was a recall due to engine fires on the Theta II engines. I did the vin search tool to check for recalls and my vehicle isn't listed but thats the engine that I have. Has anyone had any issue with this?

Many have had engine fires from fuel lines leaking, especially if the engine had been replaced and the HP fuel line not connected properly.
They also had a recall on the low pressure fuel line cracking, but that started with the 2013, but who knows.
So high pressure and/or low pressure, you end up with one hot car.
Hopefully no one was injured in the eruption.

I am just going 2 file a claim with the class action suit cause my car is covered under it
Class action suit is for engine seizure if the KSDS has been done, and if seizure occurred P1326 would have been set and in limp mode, but good luck.
