ive poked around and havent found a definitive answer to my problem. On my 2011 sx with 140k when i start up in hot weather like when i leave work and its 85 deg the ac takes like 5 minutes worth of driving before the compressor to kick in.Once it starts after the initial siting all day i can stop some where and turn it off but ac kicks right in after..Pressures are perfect we evacuated and recharged it at my buddys shop on his snap on machine to make sure, works perfect and is cold otherwise.seems like the auto climate control dont let it start right away, anyone else have this issue?

Turbonut has your solution, something about the valve on the compressor needing to be replaced. You are lucky to have a friend to be able to evacuate and recharge, because that's the most difficult part of the procedure because you need to do that to replace the valve. The valve itself is inexpensive.
