I bought my SXL September of 2014 with 17.5k, one previous owned. She’s a daily driver and now she’s up around 111k. I wanted to wait till my warranty was up before I started modding. I have a big wishlist ready to go. My oem hid went out so I purchased some Osram D1S bulbs and CREE fogs for the **** of it. I went through K5OS of course and will continue to do so for my future mods. Well here’s some pictures of my girl now.

I can’t seem to get my pics to work. I click the button to insert pic, select the pic and that’s it. The ‘ok’ button disappears. I messaged an admin but haven’t heard back. I’m also trying to do it from my phone I guess I should try from my computer

I don't use Tapatalk much (I'm assuming that's what you're using) because it seems to be buggy for me when posting pictures. You could use Imgur for your picture hosting, then use that to share pictures over to this forum.

Ahh yeah don't even bother with the attachment software on the site.

Go to www.imgur.com and upload the images, and then copy and paste the BBCode here.

Yes those are CREE bulbs from K5OS.

Next on the list is a lot! Planning on making a substantial order in the beginning of aug. I’ll be posting my mods as they’re installed.

It’s going to be a few weeks because some scumbag decided to break in and vandalize my car. Messed up a lot of the interior and some exterior. Repairs will be about a month, mostly because they need to source my new interior.

Once I get her back I’ll be adding the mods. Hopefully I’ll have my order in and ready to be installed.

To be continued...

Sweet, sounds good, look forward to seeing what you do next.

Oh man that sucks, I hate hearing things like this. I wish people wouldn't mess with others vehicles.

So I’ve made a recent purchase with K5OS and I’m currently still waiting to get my car back from the shop after it was vandalized. The silver lining in this situation is my interior is basically brand new so that’s not too bad. I just want her back so I can get my parts installed. Here’s what I have waiting to get installed.

DT-S Exhaust system from Ark Performance
Ark Performance DT-P Coilovers
Ultra Racing Performance Front Strut Tower Bar
HKS BOV Kit for Kia & Hyundai Vehicles
HKS M45XL Spark Plugs
ADD W1 V3.3 - Baffled Dual Inlet Oil Catch Can
Niche Wheels M183-Staccato 20x9 Matte Black +35mm Offset
CP-E QKspl 3" Cast Bellmouth Downpipe (Back ordered)

David was great helping with this order. Everything came in super quick and packed great. I’m just dying to get this stuff on and get some pics up for you guys.

I think next on the list is definitely the lap3 chip, intake and throttle body spacer. Plus a lot more.

I’ll get pics up ASAP after the installs.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you for your big order with us Nick!

Happy to have helped you with the purchase as well.

Now that you know the trick for adding pics here on the forum, I hope we see a lot of these new parts getting installed.

You bet your ass I’ll be getting pics up. I have to get these on quick because all these parts are sitting in my kitchen and living room, my wife wants to kill me lol. I really don’t feel like lugging them into the basement just to bring them up again. So once I get her back (hopefully this week) I’ll be getting all the installs done by the beginning of next week. I’m pumped!

Though I did have a question David, am I screwing my self over with the ark exhaust with is 2.5” diameter? Is the cpe exhaust 3” to match with the downpipe? Also what are my midpipe options? If you want to email the answers to me or answer them on here I’m good with either or.

Thanks in advance.

That sucks! What did they do to it?

Edit: n/m, I didn't go far enough back on the thread. Can't wait to see all the mods and your new and improved interior! :)

Yea they tried to pry open the front window from the side pillar and window rather than at the door jam so that’s messed up. Then gave up there and tried to pry open the back window from the bottom of the window and messed up the door. While doing that I believe they broke the back window on accident. I assume that because if you were looking to break a window you wouldn’t be prying, you’d smash it off the bat. Stupid crooks...

Once they were in I’m assuming my weak ass stupid horn alarm was going off once the door was open, so the grabbed anything they could get their hands on in the car. Just random stuff maybe worth $1k, nothing serious. In the process they scratched and tore up my white leather interior. They tried to get in the trunk through the back seats but I had soooooo much crap in there they were probably like WTF and just left lol. The items were a total loss but at least my car is getting fixed.

I have a 2018 optima fe rental and I hate it!!! I miss my baby. These cars are useless without a turbo! It can’t get out of its own way, no power at all.

You know that’s right, should be this week.

I work for the railroad and what I really want to do is put a train horn in it. That would be freaking amazing. I’d have sooo much fun with that!!

So I finally have my car back! The interior is basically brand new and I had some other cosmetic things fixed touched up.

I also bought some new shoes for my lady too. I brought them to the shop that was fixing my car to get them put on the day I was picking her up. I received a call about an hour later. I picked up and he broke the news. One of the bolt patterns didn’t fit!!! I was pissed. So I’ll be waiting for the correct one to get shipped but need to send this one back. Probably going to be a couple weeks. That’s what I get for ordering online I guess. Here’s how the look off the car lol.

Back to the installs...

This week was extremely hot and humid in the northeast so I only installed a couple things. So far the only installs are the spark plugs, BOV and the front strut tower bar. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon for my exhaust. Then I’ll be setting up an appointment for the coilovers with the same shop that’s doing my exhaust. There wasn’t enough time tomorrow for the coilovers so those will be done at a later date.

Well here’s a couple pictures of the bov and strut bar.

More to come.....
