I'm going to use the post as a repository for various parts, products, and links to them that I've used that aren't available from the normal vendors or are a lot less expensive elsewhere.

Exterior Parts:

Custom Headlights.
Lights were done by Transformalights.
(Out of business - I'd suggest El Stig Garage - https://www.facebook.com/elstiggarage/)

Vinyl Wrap.
Auto Vinyl Solutions. ebay or web - All 3M, Arlon, or Avery products, great prices and super fast shipping. http://stores.ebay.com/AutoVinylSolutions?_rdc=1 or http://autovinylsolutions.com/

Camily Rear Bumper LEDs. ebay - Great vendor, fast shipping from Korea: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kspeed-LED-Rear-Bumper-Reflector-Light-Lamp-Set-for-kia-2011-Optima-K5-/130750048884

Window visors / Rain guards. They are not JSP visors, but Auto Clover. I purchased a set from this ebay vendor. They are domestic, inexpensinve ($40 w/shipping) and imho, look better than any of the others on the market. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171320269033

Front Lip / Valence / Deflector. Kia Part #865912T200 ~$25 Shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/KIA-OEM-2011-Optima-Front-Bumper-Grille-Lower-Deflector-865912T200-/231296203802?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make:Kia&hash=item35da53fc1a&vxp=mtr

Mud / Splash guards. OEM $35 on ebay. There are a bunch of vendors with prices from $25-35 with free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Genuine-86831-86832-86841-868422T100-F-R-L-R-Mud-Guard-Splash-Flaps-4p-1Set-/181447994833?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make:Kia|Model:Optima&hash=item2a3f24add1&vxp=mtr

Carbon Fiber. All carbon parts came form Karbon Koncepts.
(Out of business / no longer recommended. Best prices and Siebon recommended: www.thmotorsports.com

Engine / Powertrain:

Engine / Fender Dress-up bolts. ebay - 20 for ~$16 http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-PC-BLACK-BILLET-ALUMINUM-FENDER-BUMPER-WASHER-BOLT-ENGINE-BAY-DRESS-UP-KIT-/161381094874

Fuel / Air / Vacuum hoses. Save you money and don't order them online. Go to your local O'Reilly's, Autozone or good parts store and they will cut to length exactly what you need for about $1 a foot. Of all the parts stores I've used, O'Reilly's has always been the most helpful and would actually suggest a competitor if they thought they had a better product. I like that.

Exhaust hangers / Gaskets / Insulators. I've used these when I had issues with the Ark exhaust hanging too low in conjunction with coil-overs. It also helped when one side (passenger) was hanging lower at the tips then the other side. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/ROL0/511179/N0912.oap?ck=Search_N0912_5168590_-1&pt=N0912&ppt=C0022

Throttle Body Spacer / Gaskets. The same Torque Solutions throttle body and gasket sold by other vendors, 10% cheaper. Ordered on a Sunday, and delivered on Wednesday. Be sure to check out there other products usually the cheapest around. http://thmotorsports.com/torque_solution/torque_solution_throttle_body_spacer/g-70528.aspx

KIA Specific parts / Korean Vendors - cut out the middle and get it direct:

KSpeed Motors - Great vendor, prompt shipping. If she doesn't have an item listed, just send her a link and she can likely get it. http://stores.ebay.com/kspeedmotor?_rdc=1

Nice Motors - Just as good as KSpeed and often has more items listed. http://stores.ebay.com/NiceMotors-Shop?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

Finally wrapped up the rear lights:

exLED Turn signal mod
exLED Trunk SuperSmile (two strips to allow for Parking, Brake, and Reverse)
Bumper LEDs
Stage 1 6000k License plate LEDs

Not the best video, but it works to show it all in action. Normal disclaimers with LEDs apply; flickering is camera speed vs LEDs and focus goes in and out due to light, I should have set it manual instead of auto focus.

Nice job.

Did you consider using a black (or chrome) license frame? I think replacing your bolts could also improve the rear of the car.

I got a chrome Optima frame in my garage collecting dust if you want it. Car looks good man, I miss my Pizza wheels. Rough one in your area this week. I'm still crushed by what took place there.

It's really sad what happened to that girl. Pretty hard to imagine what she must have been going through.

I just spent half the day getting rid of all the chrome. :) Thanks for the offer though.

I go back and forth on the wheels every day and can't decide if I want to keep 'em or move on to something else.

Now I just have to decide what mod to do next, probably the new K5 Store's switchbacks once David gets the new ones in...

I figured as much, that's why mine is sitting in the garage. I did plasti-dip it black once. Looked OK...lol

I haven't decided if I am going to do switchbacks on this Optima or not. I had them on my old one, but I think I'm going to try and avoid anything that needs resistors or excessive wiring.

U are so right...

I installed a chromed one on my car, did not look OK to me (all my friends except my mom!) and finally settled for a black one instead.

I think that you should use the wheels that are on it for winter wheels and get some blacked out wheels. Black it all out. So far so good. I also think that since you darkened the headlights you should also darken the fog lights as well. They stick out. LOOKING GOOD THOUGH

What's winter? I had the tint on the fog lights but didn't like the look when they were on. Who knows, it may come back...

If the MMR HR4's came in a matte black, I'd probably jump on those (even in the silver I like 'em). In the mean time I'm still looking for a set that catches my eye.

Thanks for the compliment!

You want to sell the sport wheels or you going to keep them? I was considering buying new wheels but I am ok with those. I'll have to dump my luxury wheels though and there are a lot out there right now.

I'm not sure yet if I will keep them or not. They are in pretty good shape with just a small section of curb rash on one of them...

Nice job! I was thinking about doing a light tint on my taillights/headlights. Was this vinyl tint or plasti dipped? Light/med/dark?

I feel ya on removing the chrome..Keep it up!
It's vinyl, medium tint. I had them try both light and dark and chose the middle. The dark looked really good, but I could barely see the lights in daylight and the light tint just seemed a little pointless. I wasn't planning on getting them done until the guys that did the wrap on the chrome slapped a small piece on the headlights; that's all it took for me to have them bring it back in the shop and do all four lights.

I'm still on the fence with the fog lights. With the amount of severe storms we have here I want as much light as possible to bring my attention to other drivers, so leaving them clear is a bit of a trade off. I'll probable get them done once summer is over and see how it goes.
