  1. 3rd Generation Optima (2011 - 2015)
2015 Optima EX, have a button next to my steering wheel warmer button, I assume that is for traction control, why would I turn that off? Seems like common sense you would want to have good traction, what am I missing?
  2. 4th Generation Optima (2016 - 2020)
Slightly drizzly day here today and the roads are a bit slick. Stepping on the gas from a stop produced the expected wheelspin, but traction control never kicked in (at least, the light never blinked on the dash). Repeated it a few times and could never get TC to engage. Do you guys get TC...

Car actually jerks me back and forth in the seat when it encounters snow. Very Weird! Anyone else having this problem? My 2011 was just fine in snow, not so with 2013.

Hey guys. I've done some extensive searching. It appears as though my traction control light - The Light that lights up when your traction control is actively working - will not go off. It is on all the time, even when the engine isn't running. I have replaced the stop lamp switch (under the...

Not sure if I'm having an issue with my car or the operator. :) My traction control doesn't seem to be functioning at all. I've had tires spin in dry pavement and in wet conditions. I'm chalking up the dry pavement to my led foot but not so sure about the wet pavement. The traction control...

I have found the traction control to be a little too intense at times. I notice when pulling on to a highway there is usually a small bump (difference in height between the road and the parking area). If I'm accelerating hard (which you usually have to do to get onto a busy road), when the car...

So let's say I'm doing 60+ on the freeway and I punch it, well car down shifts revs go up and as I speed up my traction control light flashes several times. I'm going too fast for my wheels to be breaking traction at that speed. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Hi all,Is there a way to disable more electronic aids. For example, in BMWs, if you push the traction control button it turns off but if you hold it down the full system disengages. IN mercedes, you can put the car into dyne/diagnostic mode and disable all electronic aids. In our cars is there...

So I do a lot of parkway driving in NJ, shut your face, and I have to say I get cut off alot by people just not paying attention AT ALL! I blow my horn, which is the weakest frigging horn ever, and slam on my breaks... This month I had two very close calls and the ABS works fantastic, Thank YOU...

I have the Hybrid 2012 with 6700 miles on it and is currently having issue with Brake Check Light and Traction Control light (ESC) Illuminated intermittently (not 100% of the time. When I turned off the engine and restart again and the Brake Light is turned off off) while driving. I brought to...

So this is pretty interesting. I go to get my new Hankooks mounted and balanced on my aftermarket wheels (I have been running aftermarket wheels and tires for over a year with no lights). About 20 miles later the ABS and traction control light come on. I cannot say for sure that it's directly...
  18. 3rd Generation Optima (2011 - 2015)
Does anyone push their car past it's turning limits to find that your car can't hang? I have the stock wheels on my car which is most likely the problem and as I take a corner ( in the carpool lane on an onramp trying to overtake people stopped at the onramp stop-light ) in California I find...
