anyone else notice on their 2016 optima that when you set the heat and blower to high or low for that matter, and set it to the floor, its still blowing heat out of the defrost vents on the windshield? with barely anything coming out of the lower vents?

A high pitched squeak/squeal sound coming from heater (windshield defroster vent) it can be heard especially when the fan is at the slowest setting. The sound seems to increase when the car is moving & gets a little quieter when it's stopped. Anyone has experienced this too? Car is a 2014 Sx-turbo

I have noticed when it is really cold outside and I get in the car..... I immediately get "warm" air out of the heater/ac. Leading me to believe the only way this can be done is if there is an electric heating element in the system somewhere. This is a very welcome feature!

I had my side mirror off to have the cover painted. I decided to see which plug was "hot" for the heater mirrors. Turns out it's this one. So I think all I need is the mirror glass with the element and run a wire to this. Turns on and off with the rear def.
