I installed a Kenwood stereo where this use to be and I no longer have a use for it. $25 and you pay shipping and it is yours!

Hi all I'm unable to find a solid answer on the forums or google. I saw a YouTube clip of someone doing it but didn't really explain how or what model Optima it was. Has anyone been able to play video via the aux in or any other way to the oem Nav unit on a 2012 Optima?

As far as the USB/Aux, has anyone been able to do this? Was it as simple as installing the Metra AX-HYKIA-USB? Also, I have seen where some people have connected their factory mic to their aftermarket head units, but some have reported it is too quiet. Is this really the case? I know I will...

Being the naive tech newbie that I am, I would have thought I could listen to music/radio on my earbuds by plugging them into the AUX port on my 2015 Optima, is that just wishful thinking?

I'd like to add in some toggle switches here for lighting/audio, and I was wondering if I could use the two unused slots in this panel. I know it can be done in a not-so-nice, unclean way, but I'm hoping to find some push-button toggles like the Traction Control button that are made for this...
  6. 3rd Generation Optima (2011 - 2015)
I just purchased a 2014 Limited and will be getting a remote start installed next week. Besides the standard start, lock, and trunk release functions, the RS will allow for 2 auxillary functions to be controlled remotely. The install guys said that I can basically control whatever non-data based...

I have a ipod touch 4th gen. If I just connect the aux in cable, it sounds fine but I have to get the volume up to about 18 for it to be decently loud. Now if I plug in the ipod usb cable in and also the aux in it sounds amped up, so basically I can play it at the desired volume at around 10-12...

Hey, I have a 2013 SX and I broke the iPod/iPhone AUX USB Input Audio Adapter Cable, (don't ask how or why :$) and I'm wondering where I could buy one ... preferably in Canada. They are $35 bucks at the Dealership which I think is a bit of a gouge. Thanks and cheers, RJM :D

Anyone know how long it will be before they release a cable for the iPhone 5 to plug in?
