2012 SX need side mirror help

    Hello,
    It's been a while!

Have searched a bunch of threads but still need a little help.

The passenger side mirror is broken. The internals specifically. The exterior of the assembly and the glass are fine. The mirror came popped out while I was on the freeway doing 70 but the wires held in on until I could pull off and remove the wires and the glass.
When I broke the drivers side mirror years ago it was easy to find a SWP mirror which I bought and replaced myself but now I cannot find one on ebay or anywhere for that matter.

Is there a video link out there showing how to remove the SWP cover because I can find the mirrors in black and was hoping to get that and use my cover to match the car?

    Thank you

P.S. Just passed 125K, still my daily driver and still looks great

Thanks. Yes I was on it today. They have all the whole unit, primed for 200 bucks. Which is why I asked about removing my current mirror’s SWP cover so I could use it verses painting it

I’ve change out the cover several times and doing a few mods to the side mirror and it’s actually not that bad, I remembered seeing a video on how to remove the side mirror but I can’t seem to find it for you. Wish I could explain to make it easier, first pop off the mirror then loosen the 4 or 5 bolts that hold the housing. Then carefully pry out the cover, you should be able to see a few clips that held the cover to the housing and just gently pry it off.

I believe the outer shell is just held on my clips and it pops off if my memory serves me. Use a screw driver and cover the tip in cloth and pop the cover.
