    Just an FYI

When you access: https://www.kiatechinfo.com/ the interval is similar but some differences.

But even this is still different than what the manual says.

The manual I was presented at the time I purchased my Optima Hybrid shows the same information reflected on the KIA Tech Info site. Service to be performed every 7,500 miles (or 6 months) | (oil change) among other preventative maintenance items - (inspect said items, and add fuel additive, etc.). I also compared the PDF manual available for download to the physical paper manual I have in the glove box - they match.

On the KIA Tech Info site: for Turbo models (2.0 T-GDI) | 1st replace @ 3,000 miles and every 5,000 miles there after. It also reflects this on the PDF manual you can download from the site.

    ----ADDED----

However, if you read further "Under severe usage conditions" change every 3,750 for 2.4L and every 3,000 for 2.0L.Kia's Preferred Maintenance Guide - Intervals + Pricing-driving-conditions.jpg

I've owned many 4-cylinder cars, and I don't feel comfortable going 7500 miles without an oil change.

But then again, I'm a whole different story, since I'm using synthetic...and I still change it around 4K-4500 mile intervals.
