Hi everyone i need financial advice.

I have a '11 LX right now, and i love it, but i love the SX alot more. Which leads me to wanting to get a SX.
So today i go to my dealer ( only one on the island) to get a appraisal for my vehicle and a quote on a new SX, and after long talks they gave me this
17000 trade in
36000 before incentives on a fully loaded SX
5.9% interest 5000 down and 590$ a month
then they would give me 1000 loyalty 500 military 500 tax bracket, and 1k bonus tward my trade in
i owe 21000 still on my LX

as you can assume i was already walking out the door before he could finish so i dont have all the details, till the manager cam and talked to me and explained that the price is so high beacause its including a 4400 market adjustment
so we talked down one step from fully loaded to just premium package which brought the sticker price to 34890 so im going back tomorrow to try talking the manager down to at least 33000 before incentives, but that still leaves me with a sick feeling in my mouth, so im considering just sticking with my LX.
what do you guys think , as im not the best with money and im certainly not the best at dealing with auto dealers. LX being my first car

sorry for 50% rant 50 % asking for advice

Hi,

I've been reading this forum everyday for a while now and I need to share something.

I own a 2011 Optima LX SWP, purchased in Canada. The car was built in Korea, compared to a car purchased in the US, made in the US.

Now I've been noticing the complaints some of you have about the car, like road noise, noises in the cabin, left pull, etc... After reading these complaints, I have been monitoring my own car for these symptoms, but found none. Actually I have no complaints at all about the car so far. I'm coming up to 5000 miles on it. My question here is do you believe there is a difference in build quality between the korean and US versions? Does anyone that purchased a car from Canada have the same problems has some mentioned here?

I am also a bit surprised to see how different the options and cars are as well. What gets me is the interior LX in the US doens't come in black/carbon fiber interior. When I saw this interior with those cloth seats, it actually impressed me. I've owned several cars with leather interiors, but it isn't a selling point for me. I do indeed wish to have the higher end options, but for a base model with automatic, alloy wheels, fog lights, automatic wipers, etc, out the door for under 21000$ canadian, how can you go wrong? I really love this car.

Ok folks, I'm just trying to get a feel for everybody's option on aftermarket lowering springs. I want to know people what type of lowering springs you are running on your Optima, and what is your overall thought of it, and what what are the good and bad about them... For example _ _ _ springs are to soft in the front, the rears are fine... they make weird noises. I overall love the drop, but wish the springs were stiffer in the front.

Something in that nature... ;)
