    YAWC (Yet Another Wheel Choice)

    Hi all,

Sooooo, I'm looking at getting another set of wheels, and I need some opinions, both technically and aesthetically speaking.

Here are the two choices. They are both new releases.

    1) TSW Amaroo

This wheel is 18"x8", with a +35 offset. TSW says it WILL NOT WORK on the Kia Optima. They say it will rub, period. However, there ARE forum members running +35 offset wheels on lowered Optimas (everyone with Gen Coupe wheels, I think... certainly the 18" ones) who report no rubbing. (One such person posted in the "known combos" thread.) Based on this, I think it would work, but it's kind of hard to think about getting something the manufacturer tells you outright won't work.

    2) Advanti Racing Fastoso

This wheel is also 18"x8", but has a +45 offset. Since the factory rims are 18"x7.5" with +46 offset, I think it's a given that these will work fine. While they're similar, I just don't think they look *quite* as nice as the Amaroo.

So what do you all think? I'm going to list 3 options on the poll, just to kind of see where y'all are coming from. I really appreciate your input. As I've said before, I'm comfortable making my own decision, but I'm also always interested in seeing what people think.

Id go with the amaroo, IMO +45 offset is too far in. Considering they are 18s as well, having a +35 offset shouldnt be a problem unless you go like slammed on coilovers lol

I'm on coilovers, but you can see my ride height in my signature picture. Think that would be ok?

Very nice, I like these. I'm actually going to be carrying my first line of rims on the site this week. Only 19's and 20's though.

I like the Avanti because I think it will look larger without the lip. I had a set of MRR wheels with a machined lip and I didn't like the look as much. You should also consider the weight of the wheels. I have Advanti wheels and I've been very happy with the looks, durability, weight and price. I would buy them again.

8" wide with a +45 will be to far in. my rock stars were 8" + 40 and the tucked another 5mm will be to much.

i was afraid of that, too. What do you think about the +35? Too much?

i think 35 would work. probably still tuck a little. both sets of my MRR wheels the HR10's and the current RW7 are 8.5" +35 on the front and they are pretty flush.

i am guessing your going for a flush look ?

I honestly don't cAre about that as long as they don't rub. I was happy with my +40 offset 8" rims. But +35 looks nice, as long as my drop doesn't make them rub.
